On 7 August 2024, the Health and Wellness club of Xavier School (CBSE), Manvi organized a talk on health and hygiene titled "AROGYA SPANDANA". The event included esteemed resource persons Sr.Leena Pais, the director of Loyola Health Centre,Pannur and Br. Suman D'Souza SJ, an assistant teacher at Xavier school and Warden of Loyola Hostel, Manvi. Sr Leena Pais spoke to the girls of 7th std to 10th std. She shared her valuable insights on maintaining personal hygiene and preventing common illnesses, emphasizing the importance of regular health checkups. she alsoinstructed girls about menstrual cycle and steps to be taken during this time.
Br.Suman D'Souza spoke to boys of 8th to 10th std and highlighted the role of balanced diet and physical activity in promoting overall well-being.
The effective session encouraged students to ask questions and engage in discussions about health practices.
The event concluded with a Pledge by students to adopt healthier lifestyles, making "Arogya Spandana" a highly informative and impactful event.
