The 78thIndependence Day was celebrated at XAVIER SCHOOL [CBSE], Manvi with enthusiasm and pride. The event began with the flag hoisting by our Chief Guest Vaidyanath Y.M(Assistant Executive Engineer O&M sub division GESCOM, Manvi) followed by the national anthem. The chief guest delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the day and stressed the value and sacrifice of freedom fighters. The march fast and various drills by the students were filled with precision and creativity. Students participated in various cultural programs, including patriotic songs and dance, Competitions like essay writing, poster making and drawing were also held, with prizes awarded to the winners.
The celebration concluded with the speech of President of Loyola Institutions Manvi, Fr LEO PEREIRA SJ who stressed on the importance of our responsibility in carrying forward the legacy of our nation and strive to make India free from caste, creed, poverty, and unequal distribution of wealth.
