The valedictory Ceremony for Class X students of Xavier School, Manvi, was held on the 1st of February 2025 at Arrupe Hall, marking a memorable occasion for the outgoing batch. The event was graced by distinguished guests, faculty members, and students, making it a significant milestone for the Class X students as they prepare to embark on their next academic journey.
Mr. Mohd Yunus, the Education Coordinator from the BEO Office, Manvi, was the Chief Guest of the event. The programme was presided over by Fr. Leo Pereira, with Fr. Wilson Bennis, the Principal, and Mr. Basavaraj, the Vice Principal, also present.
Fr. Wilson Bennis, in his opening address to class X students, explained the responsibilities of a student in the society, through a story of a cub of tiger that grew in the herd of sheep. He gave the call to reinvent the best that is hidden within every student of class X.
During his address, Mr. Yunus emphasized the importance of staying away from misleading social media influences to achieve success in life. He also commended the remarkable service of Loyola institutions in uplifting the downtrodden through quality education and holistic development.
Fr. Leo Pereira, in his presidential address, wished the students the best for their upcoming annual examinations and encouraged them to excel in their endeavors. Fr. Wilson Bennis also motivated the students through his speech, inspiring them to remain dedicated and focused on their goals.
A significant and emotional moment of the event was the Candle Oath Ceremony, symbolizing the students' commitment to integrity and excellence as they step into the next phase of their education.
Ms. M. Niharika and Mr. Vinay of Class X shared their heartfelt experiences and reflections, expressing their gratitude and nostalgia for their journey at Xavier School. Additionally, Mr. Preetham of Class IX shared his memories of the outgoing batch, reminiscing about the moments they spent together.
Adding a creative touch to the event, Mr. Shashank of Class IX and Sir Devendrappa presented a beautifully crafted video showcasing the cherished memories of the Class X students, bringing smiles and emotions to the audience.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of everyone involved in making the valedictory programme a grand success. It was a day filled with emotions, gratitude, and aspirations, leaving an everlasting impact on the students as they bid farewell to their school life and prepared for their future endeavors.
